Presentations Review I think all three of the presentations were very well written and informative. They had various topics to talk about that were organized perfectly making it easy so everyone can understand.  To begin with I enjoyed the group 1 presentation because they had a nice green theme which I feel is important when you have presentations because it grabs peoples attention which is good and keeps the audience interested especially when you include graphs and pictures so everyone can understand what you're talking about further. Group 1 talks about intercultural communications which essentially means   the communication between people from two different cultures . Their slides consist of information on race, e...

I really appreciated Group 1’s presentation. It shows that communications amongst us is very important when it comes to getting things resolved. This can also help to understand other people cultures, beliefs, point of view, and other things that make a certain individual act the way they act. For example, it is very common in the American culture that once a child hits 18 he is identified as an adult and they are sent off to college to begin their own life. As a Hispanic this doesn’t tend to happen. You are considered a kid until you are able to move out and financially support yourself without your parents’ help. It is very different cultures and beliefs. As well as I am sure its different from people in Europe and the Asia’s. It was also interesting to learn the way that a culture becomes dominant is through economic or political power. But I am also not surprised since that is what runs most countries. People who run countries tend to care more about their political position and ...

The introduction, cleverly referencing our collective experiences with intercultural communication in the diverse context of Miami, established an immediate connection. Their adept definition of culture transcended mere customs, encompassing arts, beliefs, language, and more, emphasizing the profound nature of culture as "the way of life for an entire society." The exploration of intercultural communi...

Group Presentations Review DH

In particular, Group´s 1 Presentation was deeply interesting and resounding with, I believe, most of us who have spent a good portion of our lives in a city like Miami where there is a clear mix of “Intercultural Communication” due to the several and various backgrounds of the people in this particular city. However, it was very interesting to see how this group boarded the definition of “culture” together with an illustration and an explanation really helped clarify even more the benefits that we, as an “Intercultural Community” in Miami, gain by being able to explore other people’s culture, traditions, music, food and even their art. In addition, the discussion about how the place you are certainly creates a culture to which most people adhere was also insightful. It is interesting to think that our lives could be completely different if we would have been born in a different part of the world. Their presentation induced me into considering and rationalizing about what aspects ...
